2. South Face

New Hampshire > NH Ice & Mixed > Frankenstein Ice
Warning Access Issue: Avoid walking on the train tracks whenever possible. DetailsDrop down

Description

The south face of Frankenstein is the first section of ice flows that you pass on your way to less intimidating projects. Home to some serious ice and mixed-routes.

As the name implies, the south face is pretty weather dependent.

Check out neice.com/2015/01/frankenst… and nhledges.org/wp-content/upl… (credit to Nick Aiello-Popeo) for overview. Things are still being developed here.

Getting There

Park as for other climbs at Frankenstein. You'll see the flows from the road, high above the railroad tracks. Before the amphitheatre.
